- Any re-inspection will require an additional payment of $500, which is over and above the fee required for the Wind Uplift Warranty.
- Roof inspections will be scheduled within 30 days after the Ballast Paver installation has been completed and the warranty has been paid for.
- Westile reserves the right to require a wind monitoring device on any project. The wind monitoring device is to be purchased and installed by the owner.
PROCEDURES
- Submit Limited Wind Uplift Warranty Application to Westile’s Technical Department along with a full set of drawings for the job.
- Westile reviews application, issues a letter of acceptance or denial, and if accepted, bills for the cost of the warranty and inspection fee ($500). ONLY WESTILE INSTALLATIONS THREE AND FOUR ARE ELIGIBLE FOR BALLAST PAVER WIND UPLIFT WARRANTY.
- Roofer installs Ballast Paver according to Westile’s specifications found in the current Ballast Paver Design and Installation Guide.
- After the Ballast Paver installation is complete and warranty monies and inspection fee ($500) are received, and inspection is scheduled between Westile, the roofing contractor, and all other required parties.
- When the roof passes inspection, Westile will issue the warranty.
- If the roof fails inspection a letter will be sent to the owner stating the roof failed the inspection. If the deficiencies are corrected another inspection will be required before the warranty can be issued. An additional inspection fee ($500) must be paid before the inspection is scheduled.
